Here in Western NY we have one of the greatest places to fish, All year round if you love fishing Western NY is the place to go. One of the great challenges is catching Salmons these babies reach up to 50lbs and they won't give up easy. One day I caught 3 of them and loose as least 6; my arms and biceps were killing me the next morning. Usually you can catch Salmon during the whole year, but in October this is when they migrate for spawning and do put on a show.
In the summer you had to find them in the deep water, lake Ontario is a place to go if you want to fish for on the warmer weather.
Fishing is not just about fish--"during. Early morning or late night fishing is best. Fishing is at its best from May through November, although ice fishing is popular at some lakes. Fishing is about fishing, not eating. The King Salmon and Winter Steelhead fishing is some of the best in the world. Spring fishing is also awesome as well. A bad day of fishing is better than a good day of work. Fishing is not a lazy man's sport. But above all, the fishing is great and you are away from the crowds. One way anglers can supplement their knowledge of fish and fishing is to assimilate the knowledge and experience of other anglers. That is not to say bass fishing is easy, just not overly complicated. For some, fly-fishing is a near-religious experience. Fishing is a great way to combine the closeness of nature and the relaxation of the outdoors.
Although various animals have been used to aid the hunter, none has been as important as the dog. The domestication of the dog has led to a symbiotic relationship in which the dog has lost its evolutionary independence and provided aid in hunting to man in exchange for support. The modern hunting dog represents the combined efforts of generations of mankind in a way that is probably unparalleled.
The use of dogs in hunting represents a collaboration of persons over time which reaches back to the dawn of our species. Their evolution through selective breeding from wolves which hunted for themselves to the pointer and other hunting dogs which find, identify and retrieve prey entirely in service to man is extraordinary.
